Getting started with a hosted server

Order a server, wait for it to install, and get your first drivers on track.

This takes about ten minutes, most of which is waiting for Assetto Corsa EVO to download.

1. Order

  1. Sign in with Discord.
  2. Pick a plan on Pricing. The main difference is player slots - get one size above your biggest grid so latecomers can still join. Every plan gets its own dedicated CPU cores.
  3. Choose the region closest to most of your drivers. Ping matters more than anything else.
  4. Give the server a name. This is what people see in the AC EVO server browser, and you can change it later.
  5. Pay at checkout (run by Polar, our reseller). You can cancel any time from Billing.

2. Wait for the install

You’ll land on Servers. Open your server and switch to the Console tab to watch it: it downloads the AC EVO dedicated server, installs Pitwall’s timing and telemetry, then starts. When the badge turns Online, you’re ready.

3. Find your connection details

The Overview tab shows:

  • Address - where your server lives. Most people never need it; they find you by name in the server browser.
  • Join password - empty means anyone can join. Set one under Settings for private sessions.
  • Admin password - lets you run admin commands in-game. Keep it to yourself.

4. Set up your event

Track, cars, sessions and race rules live in the Config tab. See Editing your server config. Saving restarts the server if it’s running, and the panel warns you first if anyone’s connected.

5. Invite your drivers

Share the server name (and join password, if you set one). See Joining your server.

Something not right?

  • Stuck on Installing for more than 20 minutes - check the console for errors, then contact support.
  • Crashed - the server restarts itself automatically. If it keeps crashing, the console shows why; a bad config change is the usual culprit.
  • Suspended - a payment didn’t go through. Update your card in Billing and it comes back on its own.
